Another Hard Drive topic

You missed one Raid array...

I have 4 250 gb drives and run a raid 10 or Raid 1+0

Mirroring and stripping it is a speedy set up for sure...  But you need 4 drives!

I missed more than 1, theres lots of different Raid types, I didnt include it because its not commonly used...

Raid 10 is better being set up as 2 different array types, 2 drives as Raid 1 and 3 drives as Raid 5 which is the typical server setup so that the OS and Data are independent of one another making it more efficient.

Your right actually some other array's (non standard??) 2,3,4,6,7 and 53? I personally am not familiar with these arrays and are not your standard Raid sets correct me if I'm wrong. 

Nested Arrays: 1+0, 0+1, 5+0, 5+1 (53??)
