Raiding Plugin Must-haves

While Im not a fan of telling people you HAVE to install this or that on your computer, in the sense of making our lives just that much easier when we visit the likes of ZG and hopefully beyond, Id like to highly encourage everyone planning to participate to install the following addons and why/what they do.

CT_RaidAssist - In addition to being pretty much the standard for any type of raiding in WoW, this app does a good job of filling in the gaps of information WoW's standard UI doesnt provide. Things like listing the Main Tanks Targets, Boss Alerts, displaying buff durations so you know when its time to rebuff a group, etc. is essential. At the same token, for raid leaders, the plugin allows for voting, checking of reagent counts on players, durability report, etc.

KLHThreatMeter - In another post I mentioned how this addon does a good job of tracking the threat each raid member is generating on a specific target. While whats known as "trash mobs" arent of too much importance in the sense of managing "aggro", bosses like we saw in ZG last night are. Maintaining a handle on the threat you generate on a boss will determine how hard the job of the main tank will be in keeping the boss from running over and smashing you into itty bitty pieces.

Decursive - A must have not only for raids but 5 person groups as well. This program allows you to see when a raid or group member becomes afflicted by some debuff that could be detrumental in the battle at hand and cure it if you have the ability with a simple click. No need to actively target them, no need to find the right spell, and the best part is you can configure a priority list of removing those debuffs based on the roles of each player in your group.

Theres lots of other things availible to make life easier raiding, but I think for the top 3, these sum it up nicely.
