I cant talk about the  hunter stats and all that, but Id personally advise either
BGs like crazy for free S1 armor, which will last you a while
Heroics, now made easy to get into with a mere "honored" requirement. These give both badges of justice to buy very nice epics from a vendor in Shatt, and also blues/epics that will last a while too. Also work specifically towards a faction you might want rewards from.
If you need to know how to get attuned relate to http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=9824 ...its a rather long attunement chain that begins in southern Deadwind Pass but well worth the time.

depends on spec of course, for stats:

7k health is needed for Kara.  Buffed you should be looking at 8k health or more.

For Marks:
A goal is 2k RAP, and 20% crit, and about 6500 mana, bring lots of mana pots.

For Beast Mastery:
A goal is 1.6K RAP, and 18% crit or so.  Id say about 5500 to 6000 mana, mana isn't much of a problem unless its a long fight.

For Survival:
A goal is about 1.8K RAP, about 30% crit, and atleast 600 agi.  The 600 agi is the big one, needed for expose weakness.  About 6500 mana.

There's a few decent epic drops from heroics that are comparable to Kara loot.  Also the new badge rewards are equal or better than T4 gear.

PVP S1 gear is a good start, kara gear is still slightly better though.  Try and get on an arena team if you can.  That new axe, [item]Vengeful Gladiator's Waraxe[/item] for hunters is super nice and easier to get, worth the time getting.  It's about equal to [item]Legacy[/item] from kara.

so if I PvP for a month or so(of course getting the full set rings bow and those black veteran boots).then arena for the axe listed above.then do chain quest for kara . Then its kara time ? :snowman_smiley:

You won't need to gear up quite that much to at least start the kara runs.  You'll want to be in blues plus a couple of solid epics.  I suggest starting on the attunement first, collect gear along the way, and then figure out your gear requirements once that's done.  PVP gear is nice so I would suggest collecting honor/arena points between the attunement dungeon runs.

If you do the Tour quest inside the caverns of time, it explains what's going on.  You have to do that quest in order to get access to the instances, so may as well get it over with while you're there.

Old hillsbrad and black morass are both weid instances but fun imo. In durnholde you pick up explosives first from the guy next to the dragon ya ride into town. Then you have to clear some trash mobs and set fire to some buildings. Once they're all burned down, the first boss will come down, kill him and I believe you complete a quest at that time too. After that, its onto more trash mobs and the Thrall escort. Be sure you talk to Thrall before the group starts the escort or else you won't be getting into BM and will have to run it all over again. Escort Thrall through some more trash mobs, two more bosses and you're done.

Black Morass is much more simple. It's about a 20-30 min long fight with a 2-3 min break inbetween the bosses. First once you enter the instance, talk to the npc, pick up the quest he has and a beacon. Clear the areas where the three portals spawn without approaching Medivh (or else you will start the event). Once your group is buffed up and ready, approach medivh and start the event. A portal will appear on one of the three closest islands and a mini boss will spawn. You will either be helping dps down the mini boss or be on add duty. The adds are non elite dragonkin and whelps that appear a few seconds after the mini boss spawns. They will attack medivh's shield that keeps him alive. Being a hunter they may ask you to take care of the adds. After the mini boss is downed you all will move onto the next portal and repeat the samething for about 3 or 4 mini bosses and their adds till a boss appears.

Samething happens, take out the boss and his adds and your group will have a short break to eat, drink, summon a soulwell or whatever. Repeat the process again till you down the second boss (which is the hardest one imo). After the second boss your group will start using your beacons you picked up from the npc. They spawn a dragon which helps in the fight with the mini bosses and their adds. The beacons work like your eye of the eagle where you have to target where you want the drqgon to spawn, so drop it right by the mini boss when the group leader has told you to do so.You can dps on the mini bosses a little at this point but be sure to keep watch if any adds get by. Take down the final boss when he appears and you're done! Talk to medivh, turn in your quest to the npc at the entrance to the instance and you can go get your masters key from the guy in shatt :p

I think the biggest deal right now for starting kara is mainly to have enough hitpoints to not instantly die to some random AoE (although some AoE in kara will outright kill you, it's avoidable though). If you know the fights well enough to not be an outright hinderance (leaders do a VERY good job informing everyone about the event/fight, especially when there are new people around) and do what you're supposed to do (sheep, cc, which mob to beat on first, ect...) you should be fine.  With your gear traps will break, your DPS *may* be lower than others, and you'll likely die a bit due to lack of knowing the fight and/or mob breaking the trap and 1-shoting you, but it'll all work out.

alright guys I got my kara key. /cheer I'm still undergeared, but working on that . If I'm around 6600 health would I able able just to go in to get a feel for the place or should I try to get rid of all my greens before even thinking bout it?

you need to get rid of your greens for 70 dungeon blues. Regular Mech, Arc, Bot, SL, Sethekk, Shattered Halls, etc. Start working on your Dungeon 3 armor set as a good start point.

http://www.wowhead.com/?itemset=650

or

http://www.wowhead.com/?itemset=660

Tho the Desolation set is a bit harder to work on as most of it only drops in Heroic instances.

If you fancy PvP, working on your Gladiator set is an option as well. Many pieces of it are of equal or better quality to T4 items, tho the set bonus and equip bonuses dont always translate well for PvE use.

You are not gemmed or enchanted correctly.  I'd suggest immediately upgrading your existing gear (expect to pay ~ 1K Gold) as follows:

1.  Get enchants (ask our veteran hunters to verify my suggestions in parentheses or check out their armory profiles) on the following slots:
- helm (Glyph of Ferocity)
- legs (Cobrahide Leg Armor)
- feet (Dexterity)
- bow (Khorium Scope)

2.  Modify your enchants (again, ask our hunters) on the following slots:
- chest (Exceptional Stats)
- both rings (Stats or Striking)

3.  I count 7 white & green gems on your gear.  Upgrade each one to blue quality.

4.  Try to find a quick upgrade to that Longstrider's Loop.  Some better ones drop in Kara or can be bought using badges.

Then post your stats.  My guess is that you'll be geared up for SSC and TK, although we won't know for sure until we see your gear gemmed and enchanted to its full potential.  Don't worry about resistance gear for now.

Your gear is fine for t5 and t6.  Like Lyn said get rid of the crap gems, and get your stuff enchanted, like the crit scope.  [item]Garona's Signet Ring[/item] or [item]Ring of a Thousand Marks[/item] are a good replacement for your blue ring.  Focus on improving your dps through macro's and proper shot rotation's and you'll do fine.  I was able to hit 1k dps with 5pc t4 just as reference.

I don't remember needing very much resist so far.  Maybe for VR with trinket cause I'm to slow to get away from the explosions  :'(

Took a long time for me to get rid of my t4 so gem/enchant as if your not getting an upgrade soon.  I prefer agility enchants/gems myself since it scales with kings.  I use blue gems for t4 and epic gems for t5 or better gear.  Gear that I'm not expecting to upgrade anytime soon.

Don't waste your badges on anything except to get the badge bow.  Bow will practically last you until Illidan.  2.4 chest, gloves and pants are better than t5.  Personally I went for shoulders and pants for t5 for the 2pc set bonus.  I'll loose some dps because of it, but the 2pc bonus is well worth it.
I have the bow and gloves, and I'm saving up for the chest now.

Try and get the s2 helm, shouldn't take long to get, couple of days in av should do it.  Gem it with [item]Relentless Earthstorm Diamond[/item] and a +10 agi gem, and you'll have a head piece better than t5.  Only upgrade after that is s3, t6 or helm from illidari council.

ok guys ive done some simple improvements such as upgrading my blue ring to a pvp ring ,aswell as getting T4 gloves. I have got my head ,leggings, and feet enchanted. ive gemmed my gear much better by using higher quality gems. the only thing i have not done is put the crit scope on my bow, this is because i am at the point where i sign up for every kara/gruuls/mags available and i am trying to get the badge bow or prince bow before i put a 500 gold scope on it. just wondering if theres anything else you guys see i really need before being prepared for t5 content.

There's a few people in the guild that can make the crit scope, Fleecy's hunter is one.  Should be a few more around that can also.

Just a heads up though.  According to that, the schematic hasn't dropped for us in 8 months.  I am in the belief that is pretty accurate considering the amount of times I've gone in there with my pally and I've never seen it drop.
