With holiday events in game like this where people are shooting and debuffing you with random annoying stuff depending on your character, I got tired of manually removing buffs when they were cast on me and found this addon to do it.

Its called "FreeMe" and made by one of the BigWigs authors. What it does is you tell it what buffs to remove off yourself and it will immediately remove it off you if its detected.

To use it, once its installed, log in to WoW and type

/freeme on

This turns it on and now you need to add the spell id's of the buffs you want to auto-remove. To do this, you type the following:

/freeme ######

where "######" is the actual game spell ID for the buff. You can find this on wowhead the same way you link spell IDs on the forum here which is described here: http://forum.twilightonalex.com/index.php?topic=3.0

Some common annoying buffs you may want to auto-program to remove are here for convenience:

  • /freeme 61781 - [spell=61781]Turkey Feathers[/spell]
  • /freeme 60122 - [spell=60122]Baby Spice[/spell]
  • /freeme 69285 - [spell=69285]Mohawked![/spell]
  • /freeme 58493 - [spell=58493]Mohawked![/spell]

You can turn FreeMe off at any time by typing:

/freeme off
