Blizz finally made some privacy improvements to RealID where you can now choose to opt out of being shown on "Friends of Friends" lists and on Friends Facebook lists. If you arent sure what "Friends of Friends" is, basically when RealID was first introduced, one of the HUGE issues second to that of showing a real name was the fact that anyone you befriended on RealID, their friends could see your name regardless if you yourself were friends with that person. Thankfully they finally made it so you can disable that feature, however they didnt exactly do a good job of illustrating how or where to find this setting.

[blizzard author=Nethaera link=http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=27026374133&sid=1]We'd like to make you aware of the new Real ID-related privacy options we've introduced to Battle.net. These options provide Real ID users with additional tools for customizing the service based on their preferences, enabling the ability to opt in or out of the Real ID "Friends of Friends" and "Add Facebook Friends" features or to turn off Real ID altogether.

Real ID offers an optional, convenient way for keeping in touch with real-world friends you know and trust, whether they're playing World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, or one of our future games. The "Friends of Friends" and "Add Facebook Friends" features provide you with even more options to stay connected while you play by making it easier for real-life friends to locate each other on Battle.net. You can easily enable or disable these features through your Battle.net privacy settings by logging in to your Battle.net account at http://www.battle.net/. [/blizzard]

I put together a little screenshot how-to so you can find these settings since they seem to be very vague in that post as to where exactly in the settings these options are.

Step 1: Log on to your Battle Net Account.

Step 2: Select "Account" on the upper right portion of your account screen.

Step 3: Select the "Settings" menu and choose "Parental Controls".

Step 4: Follow the Parental Controls setup information if you have not previously configured it on your account.

Step 5: Once you are emailed the Parental Controls link to your account, the new RealID settings can be found at the top.
