The new forum has the option to ignore boards that you dont want to see updates from.
Basically what this means is any new postings, you wont see the "New Message" icon on the main page, nor will you see them in the list of your "Unread Posts".
The board will still be visible, you will still be able to view messages, and any messages you havent read yet will still have the "NEW" icon next to them but you wont receive any notifications for that board.
This option will come in handy for those who might not want to see some of the new RSS Feed boards that will be cropping up.
Step 1: Visit Your Forum Profile

Step 2: Select Modify Profile > "Ignore Board Options"

Step 3: Select the Boards You Want to Ignore Notifications For

Step 4: Click the "Change Profile" button on the lower right when finished
