Twilight now has its own Link Shortening System! The Link Chopper!
Our little ninja mascot (Yuri), who got her name from Koth since its similar to URL, will chop links down to size for us for easy sharing and pasting in gchat =)
As a step toward making Blogs! and various other portions of the site easier to share, it worked out best to have our own system in place for link shortening.

Basically this works exactly the same as sites like tinyurl (http://tinyurl.com/) and bit.ly (http://bit.ly).
