Title: Rogues and 3.1.0
Post by: Belandand on April 21, 2009, 07:51:07 AM
Since all the other class-based forums have been seeing activity with the release of 3.1.0, I figured that it was about time for some rogue to open up a thread for Twilight's rogues to discuss changes, itemization and spec changes in lieu of 3.1.0.

According to early reports from rogues in Ulduar, it seems that we have returned to being the highest single target dps.

Combat's dmg has been buffed with the reduced AR CD, KS dmg buff and lightning reflexes.

Mutilate's dmg has also been buffed by changing poisons to a PPM system, which now forces mutilate into either slow/fast or slow/slow though slow/fast is better for FA procs.

Rogues are also saying that HAT is still the highest attainable dps but of course this spec stinks for progression fights.

Glyphs:
Mutilate:
HfB, Mutilate and either rupture or TotT (however since we usually don't stack rogues, you might want the rupture one. Syncs well with HfB if you're trying to squeeze out that last CP before it expires).

Combat:
SS, rupture and either KS glyph or TotT

Sub: evis, rupture and TotT or SnD

Spec dmg output (considering full knowledge of encounters and equal gear/skill):
HAT> Mutilate=Combat. But I hate the dependency of HaT.

If you're mutilate...IP/DP

If not...WP/DP

Nothing's changed except for the amount of potential procs you can get.
