I wanted an addon that simply let me resize the map so that I can see Dig Sites and Flight Points without requiring full screen (large resolution = tiny freaking map).
Mapster (http://wow.curse.com/downloads/wow-addons/details/mapster.aspx) not only is a small, simple addon that lets you resize the map, but it can also make it see-through so it only blocks a small portion of your view rather than the entire square map.

Apparently there's a bug in this addon that doesn't scale the dig site with the map so the overlay is incorrect on where to dig. =/
