So I get new bottles of shampoo in the morning...my bed is made (we NEVER make our bed at home), I have complmentary slippers to make my feet happy, I wake up and choose my breakfast from a nice spread of options (ive been eating lucky charms at work lately), my trash is taken out, I take a 20 minute shower...
...and Im digging not sharing a bed with anyone actually...im a relatively tall guy (6' -2"), so at home i feel somewhat confined when sleeping...here i stretch waaaaaaaaaaaay out...which is somewhat nice :)
this is the life...if earl hickey can live in a hotel, maybe I can too...
I worked at a really fancy hotel once as the manager....you DONT want to ever ever ever know how your food got there and what goes on in the kitchen. I'm glad I made friends with the chef cuz then i got my food always fresh and above all...clean :D
I've worked at a fast food place too a few years ago they were even worse..."hey is that salad still good?", "smells like it could take another day"....lol its hard for me to eat at fast food places nowadays. I remember telling them, "you guys have bugs in your boxes downstairs" and they just replied, "ya we know, don't tell anyone". I think they got shut down by the health department eventually till they cleaned it up.

Seriously though, I just got home from a week long trip to Orlando. Fun trip, hate the hotel bit. It's just lonely. I'm not a big social drinker, and most of the events at conferences center around that, so after going and watching everyone consume 2-3, I go back to my room early, call home, and generally veg out watching TV until I fall asleep.
I'd much rather be home with Lyte and our kids. Crazy as the kids drive us at times, you get as addicted to them as Capnpop is to his SoC in bgs.
I'm with you there Dharq. I went to Singapore for 5 days for a conference for work- very rare perk for a teacher ;)
I enjoyed the peace and quite and huge bed, and not having to cook, etc....but oh how I missed my family. I talked about the kids too much and bought them lots of presents.
Yes, there's no place like home. :)
I'm a traveler by nature... I dislike hotels because the scenery doesn't change.
