Title: Titan Question
Post by: Threlin on April 02, 2007, 12:54:57 PM
Greetings all! This question may have a simple answer (and if I've overlooked something, please forgive my ignorance).

I just installed the basic Titan interface, and I really like its utility. I've downloaded the Titan group provided by Shadow, but I do not yet have it installed. With the bottom Titan bar displayed, my pet's action bar blocks my view of the last line of the chat window. At times it seems to reset to above the pet action bar, only to drop back beneath it a few moments later. I enjoy reading the guild chat and it's a little irksome to have to bump up the dialog a line in order to stay current. Let me rephrase that; it's starting to really hack me off.  ;D

Is there any way to make this bottom line of text visible consistently, other than by not having my pet out, disabling the bottom Titan bar or having things set to auto-hide? (I have never been a fan of auto-hide on any program...I'm strange like that  :P )

Thanks for your help, and if I'm out of luck, it won't be the first time!  :D

You need to move your chat window up some. If you right-click on the general chat tab then select "Unlock Window" you can drag it all around.

*smacks forehead with palm*

Thanks Shadow! Like I said..."if I've overlooked something, please forgive my ignorance."

I didn't even know you could move the chat window. ???

Things like this happen when you get old...just wait...you'll see one day.  ;D

Thanks again.

If it's any consolation Threlin- my boys showed me how to do that... as I was having the same problem. ;)

That's where I'm at right now, Mur...going through the add ons trying to find the ones that fit my gaming style. I can't believe I've played this long without Titan!

Isn't that always the way, Luise?  ;D I guess we're not really in trouble unless we stop learning, right?  ;)

Thanks to you all for your help! It's appreciated!

I am right there with you Therlin and Luise. My son routinely bails me out - it amazes me sometimes that I can be so dense  :D Just remember that age & trickery will overcome young & enthusiasm.  ]:D

Youll notice that slowly Blizz starts to integrate features of the good MODs that are popular into every revision of WoW. Look at the Raiding, they integrated a TON of CTRaid stuff into the raid interface system and the Target Icons was another seperate mod that ran atop CTRaid, not to mention Scrolling Combat Text, as well as Enemy Castbar, etc etc. Im seriously surprised they havent made a Titan / FuBar type portion of the standard UI yet as both are really really popular.

And I will not age so long as I convince myself im "hip" and "with it"...

Good to know we're not alone, Jan.  ;D And the quote about old age and treachery still stands true...that's why I trip those skateboard kids with my cane!

I always say "I won't be over the hill until I'm under the hill!" ;)

Interesting that Blizz is smart enough to take cues from the popularity of particular mods. Of course they've been making money by the Un'Goro Crater loads for years, so it really shouldn't surprise me...
