This got me thinking - I wonder how practical it is to attempt to farm the Baron's mount.
NVM, just looked it up on allakhazam - 1 drop in 38k kills.
how deep does this druid love well go?
Blizzard: "Hey druids we'll let you fly for free 2 levels before everyone else, have a quest to get an epic flying mount and bypass the 5000G everyone else has to pay. Oh, an we'll even throw in a special epic ground mount for some of you too. Can we rub your shoulders while we're at it? We know those bags full of gold can get heavy."

bliz hasnt once rubbed my shoulders...and I really could use a good massage. Maybe a full body table thai message a la Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain, with some nice relaxing music in the background. <breathes in deeply as the scenery floods his mind.> Sounds like a vision with a happy ending.
but no...no message...no music...and we DO have to pay 5000G as a pre-req to our epic flight form quest.

Um, fyi, the druid has to buy the epic flight training--the form only allows them to bypass the cost of the mount itself... Although, given blizz's history of epic mount quests, they'll probably spend 2-3 times longer doing the quests than they simply would grinding the money and buying a mount. Oh, and probably will have to buy quest items that cost only 20-30g less than the mount in addition to that.
Sorry, but I see this as a cosmetic thing more than a practical one. Now normal flight form, I won't debate with ya... it's a really super class perk. :)

well darq...there is one other slight advantage to druid flight - instant cast.
I know I LOVE jumping off a cliff or rise...doing the NE flip then shifting, or jumping and waiting until you ALMOST hit the ground before you shift...
not to mention I have flown to a quest NPC, shifted out of flight, shifted to cat before i hit the ground, killed the quest NPC, and flight formed back within a few seconds :)

It's sort of like a penguin... I want a penguin mount now
maybe blizz just figures we warriors have the lowest intelligence and won't notice all these other classes getting free mounts :)

True, very true... but you still can't use flight forms in combat, so being instant cast is nice when you're just exploring, but it doesn't make any difference in pvp or if you get jumped by Illidan. ;)
