So...i've been talking on and off a little about making a wow movie with you guys. I can film it and edit it but the thing i need is a good script. Obviously nothing crazy, nothing insanely huge. If you guys are interested in making one with me I need help because there's too much to do on my own.
Mainly, I need a good story, drama, comedy, etc...something good though. Maybe you all can just write up a small short and post it here. Then I'd need someone to make an actual script, or something close to one, if you have no experience in writing a script im sure you can google for some basic info on how to do it, its very simple :p, the only thing you really need is to be creative!
Right then...moving on...
Things to keep in mind.
Things I can do
- With the wowmodel viewer i can essentially load up any model with any armor/weapon, I can even have someone's char ride a dragon like rend and gyth. I have access to almost all the models and gear in wow.
- I can free fly all over the wow world with my handy wow map viewer, which means i could film from impossible angles that would not normally be possible within the game.
- I have access to just about all the wow effects but browsing through them and using some of them is anywhere from easy to impossible.
- I'm not going to setup an army of 100 people on the screen...or more unless someone would actually like to coordinate that many people on our server.
- Cross faction dealings are difficult unless we are both on vent.
- I know someone who can compose music...i know quite a few people actually.
- I would probably ask some of you guys to help me do voice overs cuz reading subtitles totally kills it...it would probably be done over TS or vent. But don't get upset if your acting sucks and i dont want the voice over ^_^
If you've seen stuff like zinwrath or illegal danish, thats the kind of stuff i can do with the proper coordination.
I'm not looking to do a video longer then a few minutes. Editing video can sometimes take hours on end just for a few seconds worth, so keep that in mind :p
If we can come up with an awesome movie, I'll post it on wowmovies and it could very well hit big...and if it does i know for sure that we could get some very nice recruitment options at that point ^_^. Just remember, large scale isn't always effective, it requires a LOT of effort. Even a simply comedic short can hit big like a funny movie i saw called snakes on a zeplin, so ya...it can be a movie remake in wow or stuff like that even.
What is zinwrath or illegal danish? If they are videos people made, I don't think I've seen those ones before. I think the last ones I've seen were the Switchers ones, which were so neat. And snakes on a Zeplin...LOL that's cute.
I can help come up with ideas, but I don't know how much I can help other than in evenings after the girls go to bed.

Hmm, since I have a lot of time to kill, I could try to work on a script. I'm better at horror than comedy or drama. I would just need to know who will actually participate in it. I have an idea for a horror one, Maybe a little comedic, but unsure how to work it yet. Still brainstorming about ideas and plots.

Its on the boards. I also looked it up on my SAG account and its listed there too. Currently there is no script for it yet so once they finish that im sure we will start seeing a cast list. I have my friends at WB sending me anything they turn up on it as they come across it.
