Title: props to last night's kara
Post by: LastDyingBreath on February 03, 2008, 11:40:14 AM
Very good job last night, everybody.  Kara down in one night is always a good thing.  some shoutouts:

To Nasanna, for solo healing the illhoof fight after ala got an unlucky sac we couldn't save her from.

To Airplay, for scoring two piece t4 on one run.

To Khader, Nasanna, Sinmarra, and Airplay for keeping the nightbane fight going long enough for me and ty to kill him.  6 man nightbane ftw.

And myself... for bouncing way too much.  "um guys, I'm in combat"

It was awesome... Nightbane lasted at least 15 minutes (had more than enough time for 3 mana tides)... I guess that's why most bosses have enrage timers these days.

We also somehow managed to aggro adds through the ceiling on our way to Aran. There were probably about 20 of those shades and mana warps running around killing everyone. I wish I had taken a screenshot of that!

airplay is a good deal quicker on the bop panzermacro then you are.

you want to see me die though, watch me on netherspite.

first try he triple breathed me twice.  second try I got two quad breaths.  it's retarded.  I'd have to have 17k hp to survive that, I can't even get a heal off before the next one hits me.

This is a common occurence in Kara these days.  One minute you're fighting a single thief and the next thing you know, there are a dozen of those ghost looking mobs one shotting everyone in the raid.  Nice.

When the group aggroed I saw 4 of em coming.  I thought no sweat, i can tank em.  But than I saw 8 more behind them coming, and thought ahh crap...

Pffft.  Any healer that can do Shade without wiping the raid on Flamewreath or dieing on arcane explosion or blizzard their first time seeing that fight is on my wish list of raid healers.  Of course, dumping your mana to spam heal everyone during the Prince's enfeeble was a first  ;).

Grats to both Kara groups who have gotten the place down to a science.  And a special thanks to those vets who continue to run with us, even though they no longer need any gear or the badges that drop - the rest of us owe you.

So true about the Prince- you should have seen the panic in my eyes when I saw all the raid members with NO health.
I think my heart stopped for a moment - had no idea what was happening.
Now it is my favorite funny story.

You weren't there the first time I did Prince then ;)  I remember seeing the health bars jump right back up to full all at once and thinking "I know Shadow's good at this game but I didn't know she could instantly heal half the raid to full!"

I think I figured it out second attempt when I tried healing myself and my health bar didn't move until the enfeeble was over.
