Title: Hey! You're Awesome! (warning: long post)
Post by: soulcage on February 03, 2008, 11:47:44 PM
Hey!  Remember me!

I'm Soulcage.  I've been a member of Twilight for quite a long time, but went inactive close to a year ago.  I was the guildmate who always wanted to be a level 60 to hang with the "big wigs," only to have the level cap raised when I got close.  Because of this, I have tremendous empathy for mounts with riders using a “carrot on a stick” (C’mon man, just give him the damn carrot.  Lol).  I was recruited by another (now inactive) guild member Caedyrne, who was a good friend.  Some of my real-life friends and I decided to try horde characters on a different server.  Needless to say I've been there ever since, tinkering with my characters Shadowfang and Soulcage in very small amounts, if at all.

I guess I wanted to make a post to tell you how great of a guild you have.  I started to play this game as far back as Dec 2004 (and I STILL don't have a level 70!  Pathetic!  Lol).  I can honestly say, that every guild I have been a part of has been nothing in comparison to your standards, your friendly guild environment, your professionalism, and your overall good looks.

An example of your excellence?  To this day, I have yet to see a better webpage design.  Twilight’s webpage is top notch.  I refer players I meet to your website to show them what a REAL guild webpage should look like.

Also, I can’t express how good it is to be a “family” orientated guild.  It’s important to have those values in your guild charter.  For example, the limit on profanity keeps the incredibly immature players away, and helps foster a friendly, easy going, no-drama atmosphere.  I can stand profanity, and to be honest I might be profane myself in real-life chats with friends.  But man, the stuff that comes out of some of these player’s mouths… you would think you were in a grade 8 school lunch room, surrounded by kids trying to be “cool.”  It’s chat pollution, and it hurts my eyes to read, my neck gets sore from all the head shaking in disbelief, and with these guild chats from other guilds, I overall exit the game dumber than I was when I started playing.  I miss your guys’ fun, easy going, and informative/educational guild chat.

Although I haven’t got a level 70 yet, other players I have referred to your site love the way you set up your raids.  One day I’ll experience being a level 70, which I’m sure would be full of these “raids” and something people call “farming.”  Actually, who am I kidding?  In all honesty I would probably just go to the various alliance starting points calling the new level 1’s “noobs.”  That’s what level 70’s do right?  (Well they should!)

I just realized how long of a post this is.  I’ll end first by saying thanks to all the members of Twilight who helped me in the past with talent spec questions, my quest for the elite mount (ummmm… Tolwen…  Thane… ummm… Kittypurple… and some dwarf with a hammer… ummmm… you know… the dwarf with the hammer?), and just for your friendly conversation.  I think I grew up from a lowbie to a level 66 idolizing you guys.  Needless to say, I am fully prepared and totally understand to be /gkick-ed from inactivity.  In-fact, I’m still pleasantly surprised that I’m still wearing the twilight guild tabard each time I log on.  (You guys are way too nice.  Thanks.)

Bottom line: Twilight is a template that all guilds should follow.  You set the bar, and I don’t think I’ll ever find a guild remotely comparable to your kindness and your standards.  Thanks friends.

Good to see you back Soul-but Ill be the first to admit I haven't had much experiences with yeh.
Leveling up...well, lets just say on my own lock, despite the play style of it being VERY entertaining for me, is still level 64 after much hard work, it being the first character I had in this guild for a good while...so no sweat, leveling can come in different difficulties for everyone, just as long as you still find WoW to your tastes!

I wouldnt be surprised if the...dwarf with a hammer, was Mur  :o

Heya Soul, to be honest your characters are on the verge of being removed from Inactivity, heh. I hadnt seen or heard from you in a while and I go through about once a month and clean out the people who dont play anymore.

Glad to see you are enjoying yourself with friends elsewhere and nothing bad happened to keep you away. Thanks very much for the compliments, im sure it makes everyone here feel good to hear those things.

Hey guys,

I'm flattered with all the posts!  Thanks!  However, I might have mislead people to think that I'm playing the alliance again with this post.  As much as I would love to play alliance again, University and work only allows me to concentrate on one character at a time.  As painful of a decision it is to make, I'm pretty set on my new horde character on my new server.  This ultimately means I won't be back on the alliance for a very long time.  With that in mind, I'm aware of the inactivity rule, and that a /gkick is inevitable.  You have my full support in that decision and I assure you I hold no hurt feelings.  I would /gquit myself to save you the trouble, but I don't think I have the courage. lol.  Like sticking a needle in my own arm.  Lol.  "Ouch!"

I guess I just wanted to make this post to provide a warm compliment.  Compared to every guild I've been in, you guys are simply the best.

Thanks for your support and making me feel included even though I was never into raids.  I'll keep my eyes closed while you perform the execution lol (/gkick).  Rest assured, if I ever decide to come back, your new member sign-up sheet would be the first I complete.

Thanks again and good luck to you guys!
