computer sizes work in binary 1024 increments

1024 bytes (b) = 1 kilobyte (k, kb)

1024 Kilobytes (k, kb) = 1 megabyte (M, MB)

1024 megabytes (M, MB) = 1 Gigabyte (G, GB)

etc etc

Here is some values for u

4 bits = 1 nibble
2 nibbles = 1 byte
8 bits = 1 byte
1024 bytes = 1 kilobyte (KB for short)
1024 KB = 1 megabyte (MB for short)
1024 MB = 1 gigabyte (GB for short)
1024 GB = 1 terabyte (TB for short)
1024 TB = 1 petabyte (PB for short)
1024 PB = 1 exabyte
1024 exabytes = 1 zettabyte
1024 zettabytes = 1 yottabyte
