... for making it to Illidan. I think I speak for many folks when I say I never thought I would see the day when our casual, family-friendly guild would be 8/9 in BT and having a chance at downing Illidan.
We have worked hard as a team in BC, going back to last summer when regular Kara raids were taking place several nights per week. During Kara, we were presented with numerous obstacles (Maiden, Curator, Shade, and Prince especially), and suffered thru many, many wipes. It was frustrating at times. But somewhere along the way, we began to work as a team and started making progress.
We eventually got Kara on farm status, but found ourselves with a new obstacle. How to ramp up to 25-person raids? The jump from 10-man to 25-man raids caused many, many guilds grief. And we were no exception. (Who remembers the poaching efforts by Wizards Council and some of the member defections?)
But again, we overcame and made it to T5. Then to T6.
Now we find ourselves at the pinnacle of BC, with a chance to down one of the most epic of raid bosses. Will we overcome? I really don't know. But I can tell you that, personally, I am so proud of this guild and those members who have sacrificed so much to get us here.
Finally, special thanks go out to Shadow who has made her role as our GM a near-full time position. Her leadership is the primary reason we are here today.
I've got no doubt that Twilight will prevail, it's just a matter of when. Grats to all of Twilight for taking it this far and letting me be apart of it. Good luck tonite in BT, kick Illidans rear-end. I will be on when I get home from work to cheer ya on.
Ps if anyone wants to go kill the new boss in Kara im up for it.
Just a head's up. 10/20/2007 was our first High King Maulgar kill, and 10/21/2007 was our first Netherspite kill.
Wow...I can't believe that the raiders are at Illidan...thats crazy...go get em guys, and also show all those other "vent" dependant guilds that we don't need it to kill anybody. Go Get them bosses, and get into Sunwell :)

Ave and I were talking the other day, and he mentioned a conversation he'd had with friends of his who play WoW. They asked how the vent-chatter was, and he looked at them and said: "What vent-chatter? We don't raid with vent." They couldn't believe that our guild had gotten as far as it has without vent to coordinate every last detail. All I have to say to that is, we can and we do raid without vent because people know how to pay attention and understand their roles in the raid. We have an absolutely amazing bunch of people here, and I'm glad to be able to call myself a member :D
I have gotten the same question from some friends Fie, and I also told them we don't use vent during raids... the one guy didn't believe me when I told him that... he hates that his guild expects their members participating in the raids actually speak in vent :-\ He was very surprised to hear that we don't have guild meetings either hehe :Pumpkin:

I'm very glad to see Twilight where we are today, And very proud to carry <Twilight> under my toon names, I am happy that i am apart of it and have spent more of my WoW life with twilight 11 months and 6 days to the day... Way to go Twilight!! and keep up the good work!
I'll just say I'm proud to help out with our tough progression raids, by not attending. ;)
Seriously, when BC came out I only thought in terms of getting into Kara somehow, and I thought maybe that new guild I joined would be some help. And that's pretty much how it worked out.
Big thanks and grats from the short guy, and I look forward to helping y'all out in return in the age of Wrath.
