We call it Veteran's Day now in the US - the 11th of November. Many other nations honor this day from its roots as Armistice day – the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th Month in 1918.
A friend sent this to me – it honors Canada's Remembrance day. While it is more like our Memorial day, and Australia and New Zealand's ANZAC day (25 APR) it says a lot.
