thanksgiving muridin.
you know, when the "indians" taught us how to bury :indian_corn: and a dead fish under a :fall_tree: to grow more :indian_corn: so we could kill :turkey: and eat :pumpk_pie:.
thanksgiving stems from the time the english puritans landed on the east coast of what is now the united states...these blokes came way underprepared, knew nothing about farming, brought no firewood, and wanted to push their religion on any man, woman, rock, leaf, and inanimate object in their vicinity. These pilgrims were lucky though, becuase they were able to trade beads and STD's to the native population for things like land and harvesting knowledge. Then, after they learned how to survive off the land, they enslaved the remaining natives who didnt die from disease, gave them the stereotype of being alcoholics, and forced them to create casinos to gain sustenence.
You forgot how we inspired inter-tribal warfare :D
Oh, and we got STDs back. Syphilis came from sheep! :o
oh :o
well, have fun *mutters "lousy morons"*
and fyi, roast chook is better than roast :turkey:
Anything is better than :turkey: it is a dry nasty pour gravy over all of it meat.
oh jan, you must eat the deliciously juicy dark meat.
and what in the world is a chook? sounds like a racial slur...
javascript:void(0);javascript:void(0);javascript:void(0);javascript:void(0);
Devil
Football
Apple Bushel
Pumpkin Pie
steaming mad at the evil ones
chook, for you yanks ( btw, yank tanks ( fords ) suck ass, GO HOLDENS mwahahahaha! ) is slang for chicken
I forgot the Badgers...
Go blue, btw! I'll be pissed if they lose tomorrow.
Hey, those casinos are nice money makers. What better way for us to get back at the "white man" for all those years than to profit off his addictions and vices. ]:D
Id like to hope my heritage has come a long way in business sense to operate these things then they were so long ago. Would hate to hear about a casino being sold for $12 in beads or something like that again =)
Thanksgiving in Canada stems from the seasonal harvest of crops. Its celebration date varied from region to region depending on the climate. It was eventually nationalized by the government and uniformly celebrated across the country.
