Downloaded patch while servers were down.  Check.
Downloaded updated addons while servers were down.  Check.
Researched and decided my main and 1 alt's talent points while servers were down. Check.
Got all my work, all my family obligations done while the servers were down. Check.

So ... why am I not online?

"You do not have 3 gigs free. Patch install failure."  WHAT?!?! *checks laptop's hard drive* oh ... crud.

*gets busy finding creative ways to make room*  It's not like I have stuff I can just uninstall.  Nearly everything that's currently on my drive is needed and used.  Fun times.



.... and then I lose internet connection just as I'm fiddling with all my addons for my character.
I wait.
I wait some more.
I cycle the router's power.
I cycle the modem's power.
I wait even more.
I fall asleep.
In the morning the internet is STILL down.
I get a call from my sister in law and I need to look up something in gmail.  I can't so I try to have her sign out of gmail at work, the signout page is down and it won't sign her out to log in my account.
In frustration, I try to log into the router's admin page so I can do a Release/Renew on the IP address.... and THAT fails. wtf? I cycle the power on my wireless network card (it has a seperate switch) and viola! the net is back up and speedy again.

Sometimes I just hate computers.
