Still tho, like Dharq says, they need to take the time to kill the grounding totem. Gives you 3-5 seconds of decisive action on what your next move is, yes not a lot of time, but in PvP its an eternity.

Mages will destroy a lot of classes if left unchecked. I used to be 2 shot regularly in AV, AB, and WSG where I just stopped playing BGs on many of my characters. You arent alone and like I said before, PvP isnt a 1v1 deal but unfortunately the vast majority of both factions (yes I had the same issues on Jenjay, Alliance isnt alone, just more of them so its more noticeable) dont teamwork on things all too well. They are all about kicking butt solo and well......doesnt work out too well.

I forgot about Purge too, I spam that button like mad in PvP on casters, hehe. If im going to probably die, im going to make it as annoying as possible, lol.

Horde has the same issues you complain about and always has. I was a walking bulls-eye in PvP even before the talent changes, BC, etc and hardly ever did I get help. Neutral to Honored with Frostwolf on her and I can say honestly, I won maybe 5 or 6 AVs on her, the rest were losses.

AV seems to be the only BG Alliance can win the majority of the time. It's really a huge zerg and alliance has the advantage of an excellent choke point. As a rogue with my current build, I do fairly well now in 1v1 vs all classes except the warrior. I try to not do 1v1 anymore though. So when I get irritated at pvp, it's because alliance will travel in groups, but when they encounter more than one horde player, it's 1v1 time again and alliance gets owned.

As far as poison dispelling, many shamans are able to dispell my poisons, but it takes awhile because of Shiv, which applies poisons instantly, and MH weapons have a high chance of being applied over and over as well. And mages are a class to be reckoned with now. I usually avoid a mage if possible unless I know I can make him blink into a pole, mountain side, w/e will just keep him in place. Then he panics and makes mistakes, like trying to cast a 2.5 sec spell.

PVP is messed up, there is no doubt about that. I will still complain about it as well as others. But to have classes nerfed because of it just hurts everyone in the long run due to PVE advantages these classes have.

As a shaman, it is hard for you to choose your battles as you are seen all the time. My advice is try to stick with a group of players as much as possible.

All good advice, so I guess I'm the only one that thinks a ten second silence is rediculous. Regardless, I've gotten much better gear over the past weeks, and the horde treat Blueberries like every other race now it seems. Healing pallies take primary target over me, then warriors, this usually gives me a few seconds to blast away and take a few down. If I get some attention I simply run away and kite them to a group of alliance players. In AB i they are trying to steal a node I just hope around and toss totems and melee horde trying to take the node to but Alliance some time and learn to fight on the flag.

Here is a little bit of information about the poison bug that people are experiencing:

There is a bug where items of very low level with poisons applied to them can be dispelled nearly every attempt, while items of very high level with poisons applied to them are nearly impossible to dispel.

This is slated to be fixed in patch 2.1.0 . The difficulty of dispelling the rogue's poison will be based on the level of the player instead of the level of the weapon the poison is applied to.
