Although I live in the Pacific Northwest, my roots are in New Orleans.  Katrina was a terrible storm that will forever shape the City of New Orleans and the Gulf Region in general.  I have friends & family who experienced flooding from Katrina first hand - but nothing like the couple in this video.

Theres a BBC programme called TOP GEAR. Its a car show with 3 hosts that review new cars and are always doing these funny challenges between each other. A few series ago they had an episode in America. The challenge was to see if you could go on a holiday and instead of renting a car for two weeks, could you buy one for $1000 and then after the two weeks, sell it and get most of your money back.

The challenge started in Miami with a road trip ending in New Orleans. The journey was humorous and light hearted until they entered New Orleans. They realized they couldn't possibly sell their cars amid the destruction. Watch their reactions and ask yourself the same questions...
