Midsummer Fire Festival starts Saturday!

The Midsummer Fire Festival begins on Saturday!

There are some fun rewards from doing the holiday dailies:
[item]Vestment of Summer[/item] makes your hands glow like you're casting a fire spell when you  /dance
[item]Sandals of Summer[/item] make a fire appear around your feet when you use the item.
[item]Brazier of Dancing Flames[/item] and  [item]Captured Flame[/item] summon pets.

Additionally, there is a new boss named Lord Ahune in Slave Pens that you can summon once per day, like the Headless Horseman in Scarlet Monastary for Halloween. You must be level 70 to get the quest and can kill him on normal or heroic mode. You can read more about him here: http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=25740
He drops:

[item]Shroud of Winter's Chill[/item]

Oh, and...INC mass ahune farming...though its a shame you'll have to spend more then 5 minutes, unlike headless horsemen

Supposedly there's a quest that goes along with this to get a Alliance/Horde specific tabard.  And it actually looks cool.  MMO-champion linked it quite awhile ago when 2.4 was released on the ptr I think.

[item]Tabard of Summer Flames[/item] and [item]Tabard of Summer Skies[/item]- you can get them from killing Ahune. If you look at the wowhead page and click the "view in 3D button" you can see what they look like

Here are a list of the horde and alliance flame keepers so you can see if there are any in the zone you are interested in:

The fires are usually pretty close to the city for that faction. Each alliance fire gives 5 blossoms and 2.5k xp or 5g. Each horde fire gives 10 blossoms and 5k xp or 10g. Capital cities reward 25 blossoms and 10g but you must be level 50+ to do the ones for the capitals.

Deathfrost enchant is now being touted to be a 100% heroic drop. And, people are saying the fight's nearly identical on H versus N except more health on Ahune.

Should definitely attempt it to get for at least a few of our enchanters.  [quest=][/quest]
