Don't panic Muri - most adult males survive chicken pox. My ex- husband got it in his 30s when he insisted on having the poxie kids.

You will just feel miserable for awhile- and have you got lotion for the itchiness- calamine is good.

I had mine at 14. I just popped the blisters, put rubbing alcohol on it, then went about my day. They never really bothered me.
