In case you didn't notice the commoners in pirate suits, it seems that Blizzard has thrown in a quick one-day event today. Go to Booty Bay and check on the roof over the bank (by the Horde FP) for a real pirate party (and 12 hour costume buff)! ARRR!  :Solid Chest:
