Well maybe not a day but for a days work.   It might take you a couple days to get the 1000g through the ah.

I farmed Dm (ogre wing) for just under a week constantly for exalted rep with the steamweedle cartel.  It involved many hours a day in there.   I went in, easily walking past all the trash, and killed only 3 bosses in there (looking for a key to drop for a repeatable quest in there for rep).  I got it down to 7 minutes per reset of the instance.   After 5 runs there was always waiting because i had "entered to many instances lately".

As an enchanter you disenchant everything you get.  Doing this i accumlated around 36ish stacks (10) of greater eternal essence,  18ish stacks (20) of illusion dust and 12ish  (20)stacks of large brilliant shards.  Ive only sold 2 stacks of the dust @  60g each but thats only because there was a fair bit on the ah at low prices so i havent listed mine yet.  Similar with the shards which i sold 2 stacks of 10 for 40g.   They will be good money makers in time, or if you want to settle for a smaller amount, they are money makers now.   The gold primarily comes from the essence.  I dont really understand the demand for it but i sold every single stack for 150-160 gold (and im sure i could have upped the price).  36 stacks @ 150g each is 5400g.   So roughly, for 5ish long hour days in DM, i made about 1000g a day.

I dont know how long the demand for this will go on, and you certainly dont need to spend the time i did gathering that much, but if you want to make some money, start farming for that essence.  It really is gold atm!

Great timing of your post, Gren.  Thanks for sharing.

Dire Maul isnt just the only place that this is works.  Old world strat and scholo are very good as well.  Strat has righteous orbs as well, but also the very pesky disease that reduces healing done by 100%, so be careful. :snowball_smiley:

*I am not concerned with the details.*

I recommend avoiding BRD for this... it takes too long and my DEs have been meh at best.

I remember when I leveled Enchanting on my lock, those were the mats that I was "stuck" on for the longest time, cause I didn't do a whole lot of questing in Silithus / instancing in these places...which is about the range where the most of the de'able greens/blues that de into these mats.  That's probably why they're selling like hotcakes... at least I think that's the reason...  Mind u I could be way off, but yeah that's what I notice.

I know when I finished with those, I gave mine to Seth cause he was stuck there too.

And I read this AFTER I go completely broke leveling my DKs enchanting. I literally have 20g to my name now and it is because of these mats.

I hate you Gren.  :P hehe

But anyway, I can confirm the prices for these items have been roughly the same for at least 6 months. I had a different alt enchanter that got stuck at 275 enchanting because of these mats. It takes around 600g to go up those 15 points. That was a painful figure for me back in BC but with Wrath economy I can see people not worrying so much about the 'sticker shock' of this stuff.

And I believe you're right Fleecy. People are eager to get into outlands once they're in their 50s so they don't spend much time in that bracket running instances, etc, so there is little supply but a lot of demand for these particular enchanting mats.

Happy farming!
