Decursive works, sorta

I was wondering if others have played with the latest version of Decursive?  I am using it and really like it.  The only sorely missed functionality is curing priority order.  Besides that, I still get the listbox that lists the people who can be cleansed, and there is a row of green (good) or red (poisoned, magic, diseased, cursed) icons that can be pressed to cast the appropriate cleanse spell.  While not quite as useful as it was before, it works.  It also catches all the pets and minions too.  I know many people were using clique and other utilities, but this is working really well for 5mans and smaller raids.  It bet it would be really tough to use for a 40 man though.

I played with it a bit a few weeks ago, it didnt do anything at all then, so I went with SmartDebuff which came with SmartBuff and well....didnt like it. It had to run with SmartBuff which to me was a bit of a pain always popping up buffs and in some cases doing it on its own during a fight. Ive been using Detox which is an Ace2 plugin too and I kinda like it. It doesnt do the removal itself as far as I know (havent played with it too much) but I get a pop up when someone is afflicted so I can at least see. In raid I just use CT_Raid as it changes the color of the player box depending on the affliction and then Clique to remove whatever it is.

For priests:
/cast [target=mouseover] Dispel Magic
/cast [target=mouseover] Cure Disease
/cast [target=mouseover] Abolish Disease

I use this on my priest.  I don't know about ctraid, but this does work with sraidframes.  Put your cursor over the person's frame and then a hit numbered key.  This actually makes decursing people faster than the mod.

sRaidframes shows the debuffs that your class can cure.  Itll show up as a certain color depending on the debuff.

Unfortunately no addon can automatically scale the spell rank for you anymore, that was something Blizz set out to disable with 2.0 and they apparently succeeded which is why all those addons broke. They claimed it was a way of cheating the system and unfair to those who would go without the use of addons, basically no more ez-mode. That would account for the huge drop in healers in WoW after that because now healing isnt as easy to do as it was previously. =(

They made it so you have to think about the spell rank you want to use now so the best ive seen an addon do is allow you to set 2 or 3 different ranks to use depending on a sequence of key presses or clicks to cast it.

I am curious, with the nerf to downranking, do people still do it?  I only down rank now to my lowest mana cost spell (Flash of light rank 1, 35 mana) for when I am OOM or if toons are only a few hundred short of full health.  Granted, I get a significant percentage of healing from +healing, but wondering what other healers use...

I am basicly down to two healing spells when I heal.  Of course, to compensate, I have far more buttons to mash otherwise... trinkets, rings, cleanse, hammer of justice, divine favor/illumination, taunt, blessing of protection/freedom etc.

On my priest I downrank spells sort of. On the hotbar, I have the highest rank, and then one about 2 or 3 ranks down for middle heals. So I have my Greater Heal 7 or something and then Greater Heal 5 as well, this way depending on the amount of HP lost, I maximize my mana as much as possible. I did this with Flash Heals also but Renew is only the highest rank.

I have every rank of every healing spell I know up on my hotbars for my priests, allowing me to customize the healing as much as possible.

Vengeance

I heard that the lower rank healing spells now take less +healing from whatever total amount you have...I was in a group awhile back with a raiding priest, and I was curious about that, asked and i got my sad answer

I know the downranking hurt pallies.  If we still got full benefit from +healing, our lowest cost spell would heal for ~630, and net recover mana (MP5 and Blessing of Wisdom would recover mana faster than it would be used).  As it stands, the spell only heals for about 400.  Still, useful when a mob has mana drained you as you can still recover mana, your healing per sec is just much lower.
