We are, in essence getting buffed in the next patch. There is one nerf coming though in the form of an alteration of the PVP trinkets. They are replacing 'charm removal' with stun removal. Here is what we are getting:

[blizzard]Rogues

    * Added a new double-attack animation for "Mutilate".
    * "Cloak of Shadows": The tooltip has been adjusted to indicate this ability removes hostile effects, rather than dispels them. "Cloak of  Shadows" does not count as a dispel, and will not interact with dispel resistance or effects triggered by dispelling. This ability no longer removes the "Weakened Soul" debuff.
    * "Deadly Throw": This ability will now damage hunters and their pets when they are affected by "The Beast Within" or "Bestial Wrath". Those targets will still be immune to the movement impairing portion of "Deadly Throw".
    * Fixed a data error that caused "Ghostly Strike" and "Riposte" to generate more threat than intended.
    * Fixed a bug where the "Silence" effect on "Garrote" was getting resisted too often.
    * "Insignia of the Alliance/Horde" and "Medallion of the Alliance/Horde" now remove "Fear", "Stun" and "Polymorph" effects and no longer remove "Charm" effects.
    * "Improved Sap" (Subtlety) renamed "Dirty Tricks": Increases the range of your "Sap" and "Blind" abilities by 2/4 yards and reduces the energy cost of your "Sap" and "Blind" abilities by 25/50%.
    * Increased the frequency and amount of "Blinding Powder" found in pickpocketed junk boxes.
    * "Mutilate": This ability will now always consume the "Cold Blood" buff when it strikes an opponent.
    * Poisons: The difficulty of dispelling these is now based off the level of the player, not the level of the weapon the poison is applied to.
    * Reduced the reagents required to create most poisons.
    * "Remorseless Attacks" (Assassination): "Hemorrhage" added to the buff tooltip. This ability will no longer trigger from killing totems.
    * Rogue poisons no longer have charges.
    * "Sap" no longer removes you from stealth when used.
    * "Shadowstep" (Subtlety): The cooldown has been reduced to 15 seconds.
    * "Stealth" will now be broken correctly by damage shield such as "Oil of Immolation".
    * "Surprise Attacks" (Combat): This talent now correctly prevents "Envenom" from being dodged.
[/blizzard]

Notice the improved sap removal. I myself will definitely go with 'Dirty Tricks'. I don't like the 'Stealth will now be broken correctly by damage shield....' Stealth is already broken along with Vanish. Getting rid of poison charges is gonna be really nice. I don't know how often I run out of Deadly Poison or Instant Poison on my OH weapon 15 min before the timer is through. For us, I think they should have left the PVP trinket as is. We have to worry more about Charm than Stuns (Succubus or Mind Control anyone?).

They are changing the Assassination armor set as well. The haste rating will no longer proc when Cheap Shot or Kidney Shot doesn't land. This means the set will be worthless against bosses if you only have 2 pieces of it. If you have 4 pieces, you'll be good to go because of the reduction in energy cost of Eviscerate and Envenom - those definitely work on bosses and mobs that are immune to stuns. It'll be nice to damage hunters and their pets with one throw of Deadly Throw as well.

They adjusted the tooltip of Cloak of Shadows. I think the reason behind this is all the QQ about it because some spells are supposed to be immune to dispel or cause extra damage when dispelled. In the same token, if it is supposed to remove hostile effects, it should remove bleed effects among other things as well. But, oh well, we get some stuff.

you guys ever miss the kidneys in kidney shot and hit the stomach or something?

Darkling

If you can't move after the kidney shot, we got you. If you can move after the kidney shot, we still got you. ]:D

I wanted to make a macro that would say "pee blood!" when I kidney shotted someone - then I realized horde wouldn't understand and I was highly disappointed.

Arcdelad

where can I go to see the druid change? anyone able to link it?

un4

I'll post the druid info in the druid forum here, Arc.

I used to have a macro to say "Surprise!" after I ambushed a mob, but I realized the same thing, Uso :(
