Found a video of the encounter from another guild / server for us to look at for any ideas.

Seems they kept whatever add they were killing next to Moroes and had the tanks keep aggro on both and that seemed to prevent Moroes from running up and one shotting a caster when he stunned the tank. They also took out 3 of the 4 adds before starting on him and then kept the 4th (healer) shackled for the remainder of the fight.

Looks like the order was Healer 1, Warrior 1, Warrior 2, Moroes, Healer 2.

I have also heard about having both tanks stay at the top of Moroes' aggro chart in order to manage his blind and gouge abilities.  This seems to support the above approach.  I'm sure this is a bit of a challenge for the tanks to keep aggro on Moroes and the targetted add, but it would go a long way toward keeping casters alive for a much longer period of time.  If the adds can be managed, then the only real threat would be the garrote.

I know this boss is hard, but we will crack him eventually and feel so great about ourselves when we do.

fighting over moroes aggro and holding an add is not as hard as it sounds...moroes is fleshy so as a bear tank I can stack lacerates on him, for me it would be making sure I have lacerates stacked up on moroes, switching to the add and swiping, mangling, etc etc (all my high threat atatcks since I cant lacerate the adds and they are immune to taunt)...

its a very achievable strategy from a tanking standpoint...

The adds could go down quick, but id imagine it would be the warriors first...they hurt like crazy, and are immune to taunt
And like arc said holding another add isnt too hard swipe generates a ton of threat, but where would a garrote on the MT ge tyou if you were holding an add with the boss??

PS  Why cant we throw boars at him?

All the casters can dispell shackle, so making sure they arent loose or at least die first if they are is imperative. If Baroness Dorothea Milstipe is amongst the 4, she can mana burn all the casters and mess the fight up bad so it might be safe to keep her out of the picture till the end. Apparently both warriors are extremely hard to kill so thats why most strategies recommend saving them till the end as the casters can go down a lot quicker. From the looks of it, each mob has about 100k hp which is quite a bit.

That being said the clip above isnt completely foolproof  :P

I never said it was...

Its a point of reference like every other suggestion on strategy.

Yeah, so CCing the warrs would work out just as good...thats what went on the first time we were there i dont know about any others i wast able to attend any since then. Though freezing one mob until the first has been killed seemed to work out well...but we did that too.
