There is a rather massive difference between the 3 hours from eastern to western Canada and the difference to the travel in China. But that's not the argument. The point to the argument is that these athletes have been training to a set condition with light workout in the morning, heavy at night. Granted, as the top 1/10% of athletes in the world, they should be able to compete in any conditions but when the cause of the poor conditions is what broadcasting company has the most money is BS.

Not really.  Your body is thrown off with each scenerio.  You might be able to argue that its thrown off more with a greater time difference but really, more isnt gonna make it any worse at high level competitions.  Your body doesnt know the difference between light and dark for determining if it needs to be at peak performance.  In essence your body has an internal clock and that is what they were refering to imo. Light/dark,  china time zone/est,  mars/pluto, it dont matter.  If your body is conditioned to be at peak at 10 am est then no matter where u are or what the time of day is in that time zone, come 10 am est your body will be at its peak.  Your body doesnt say, oh wait its dark out so im not gonna be at my peak.  Your mind may say that, but thats the physcological thing i referred to earlier.

Your mind is stronger than you're body

Honestly jr, I agree with you 100% throughout this thread, I don't have anything to add, so I'll just say that.

Most people think Marv is crazy. He just had the rotten luck of being born in the wrong century. He'd be right at home on some ancient battlefield swinging an axe into somebody's face.
