The time is drawing near. The Baltic States have scoured their villages for prized bazouki players. Estonia's culture minister has confiscated the countries only synthesizer made after 1997. Moldova's top minds have been working overtime to figure out just how many key changes they can fit into a 3-minute performance. And Terry Wogan has disappeared. The only clues to his whereabouts are a profanity-laced limerick carved into the ceiling of his residence and unexplained distillery fires across the country.

This can only mean one thing...

Eurovision 2010

As a bringer of Good Things™ only, I present only the most memorable songs from this performance, which is generally more embarrassing than American Idol's lovechild with Survivor.  Unfortunately, this year was extremely tame, featuring 90% generically bad solo ballads with piano/violin/fiddle accompaniment, I bring the good songs.  Seriously, nothing this year was actually so awful I had to stop watching, or kept watching out of sheer confusion, it was just boring.

Germany brings the Katy Perry clone, who's actually not bad

And, as far as what I was expecting (and hoping for) from this year, I give you the most fabulous entry from 2007

The local rock station around here has been playing the Silversun Pickups pretty frequently, so I figured I'd check them out. Surprised me to find that their lead singer was male, not female >.>

Also... can't go wrong with pretty ladies and musical chairs!

I absolutely love Richy Nix, just saw him last weekend with my friends Pop Evil, and Snoop. Was a great show put on by our local radio guys Freebeer and Hotwings. Richy is a great musician, and I know he is gonna go far. How do you know Bryan? I think I've seen him play a few times...
