This one's for Luise.  Try to figure out the pattern.  When you think you have it, post a series of your own.  If people are having trouble, I'll post some more.

10 is 3.  3 is 5. 5 is 4; 4 is the magic number.
18 is 8.  8 is 5.  5 is 4; 4 is the magic number.
17 is 9.  9 is 4; 4 is the magic number.

17 is 9, 9 is 4

ok I copied off Un4!

I even tried to google "the magic number is 4"- boy there are a lot of weird sites out there!

I then thought of getting my top Maths class to do it for me- but alas - old age ... I kept forgetting to ask them.. so now I admit defeat.
But I am planning a tricky question soon...

Now where is the blond gal holding the white flag icon?

perhaps a different 'view' of the pattern will help.

fifteen is seven, seven is five, five is four; four is the magic number

un4

Khader has it too. (duh) :P

lol- got it :)
I was looking at complex Maths stuff- functions etc, rather than number of letters in a word.

un4

Tada!  That's the beauty of it: everyone thinks it's something more complex.
