My 12 yo niece is just dying to see this movie and can hardly wait until it comes out.  She's already finished reading all the books (and this is from a girl that just last year wouldn't be caught dead reading anything).  Bad lit or not, it got at least one girl interested in reading.  Also, on my flight back to CA to see my dad last month, the girl next to me told her sister's college volleyball team that "you just NEED to read this book as you too will fall in love with Edward!".  My guess it that it's an "As the World Turns" soap with vampires.
