here is a look at the right vs wrong way to pull down my parent's driveway.

image one shows the correct exit path.  Note the positioning of the turn when you start it and also pay close attention to the initial trajectory and the gradual turn before completing a full 90 degree turn at the end to position yourself parallel to the road. 

Overall, not a difficult movement.  With snow on the ground you lack the guidelines of the brown vs green (grass) to stay on the driveway, but the movement is exactly the same.

this is the wrong way to do it (although the way far too many people seem to approach this driveway).  note the early "correction" that dooms the driver and car early.  such a correction is usually due to the lack of pathing (and faith in their approach) although not entirely unheard of even in the summer when the path can be clearly seen. 

Either side of the driveway can be the receptacle for your car but this is how my wife performed a perfect driveway dismount.

such an attempt at an exit will leave your car in a troublesome position as shown below.  With the 2-3 feet of snow in the ditch the car basically "floats" on the snow, leaving 2 tires (or more) off the ground.  In this case up to 3 may be off the ground although after some shaking/pulling/digging only 2 are, and they don't matter (never pulled myself out of a ditch with rear tires....).

I made another paint image of what this looked like but it was even worse than the others (hard to believe) so instead I made one of myself naked in the snow so you can see how high it got....
