If you want to contribute, anyone with a Member status or higher should be able to edit/create pages.

QuoteI want to help contribute to the Twilight Wiki, but I don't know what to do.
All pages have links to edit their various sections. e.g. "[edit]  Videos". Just click on the [edit] link and you will be taken to the editor for that part of the page.  Sometimes you will have more information there than just that section, but this is normal. Also, to edit the entire page that you see and not just specific sections within the page, just click the Edit tab near the top left of the web page.  Some links do not have pages created for them yet. Clicking on them will give you the ability to create one right away with this message at the top of the page:
"You have followed a link to a page that does not exist yet.
To create the page, start typing in the box below (see the help page for more info).
If you are here by mistake, click your browser's back button."
If you want to start making the page, then by all means, start typing away. =)

QuoteI'm afraid to touch it and break anything.
Please don't be afraid to break what you are editing. It is just as easy to rollback your changes to an earlier state (fancy way of saying "Undo") so that you are free to create and not worry about whether or not you break things that someone has to fix.  Fixing is easy!

QuoteI see a bunch of text in the editor, but I don't know what it all means.
While wiki editing is not like traditional word processing, though it is very similar. Wiki's have a lot of emphasis on formatting cues to make presentation more uniform across the site.  This way, as a contributor, you can focus on writing what you want to say instead of having to worry about what font to use or what point size the font needs to be.
Code  Sample Select
= Main Section =
This text will fall under the top section of the page. The "Main Section" title will appear in a large font and be a commanding presence.
== Sub Section ==
This text will fall as a sub section underneath the Main Section. In addition it will be formatted so that it appear indented a bit and have a smaller heading than the Main Section.

If you created a page with the above text, the Wiki will do all the magic of formatting it so that it looks nice and pretty.  That is the real magic of Wiki.  It removes the complexity of making it look nice and lets you focus on what you are trying to write.

If you are like me and need to work with a guide on what all the formatting marks mean, then you will want to remember this sticky.
